ABOUT THE FARM

Rustic Island Farm is a year-round farm that raises alpaca, micro-miniature donkeys, and kunekune pigs. We sell products made with alpaca fiber all year, as well as fresh, farm-made foods during the summer. The alpaca and I would love to be part of your outdoor event––wedding, birthday party, retirement party, or just a gathering of friends.

Back in 2015 I had moved from Minneapolis to St. Paul because St. Paul allowed hooved animals. The plan was to get a few miniature horses to do therapy at local hospitals and senior centers. But then in September of that year I attended my first National Alpaca Day Open House at Harmony Hill Ranch Alpacas in Wisconsin... and I was hit with the alpaca bug! Not long after, I brought home my first two alpacas—Annie B and her daughter Kerrigan.

In 2021, I was able to sell my property in the city and move to 10 acres in Mora. And more space = more animals! At Rustic Island Farm I feel incredibly lucky that I get to do what I love. And I'd love for you to visit! For more information, check out what's happening at the farm and get in touch.
